Slow Down Sunday: Forest Bathing & Mandala Making

Slow Down Sunday: Forest Bathing & Mandala Making

Originating in Japan in the 1980s, Forest Bathing (“Shinrin-Yoku”) is an evidence-based practice proven to reduce stress and anxiety, lower blood pressure, and enhance focus, creativity, and resilience.

Led by Pam Lowe Cho, certified Forest Bathing Guide and principal of Forest Bathing & Coaching Outdoors, LLC, this two-hour experience invites you to slow down and reconnect with nature.

You’ll begin with a guided Forest Bathing walk, enriched by poetry and gentle meditations that awaken the senses. Along the way, you’ll gather natural treasures—stones, leaves, petals—that will later inspire your own mandala creation. Returning to the Manor, you’ll share a gratitude tea with cookies before shaping a personal mandala to carry home—a reflection of harmony, balance, and inner stillness. The afternoon closes with quiet reflection and shared connection among the group.
